It is rare in Spain to find a rental contract for longer than 11 months due to Spanish legislation. 11 months is not long, but there is nothing to say that these rentals can not not be renewed, it is down to the owner. Most owners will require a deposit which will normally be equivilant to two months rental which is paid in advance. Rentals over the summer period will normally be more expensive than those over the winter months, so if you are looking to rent from March to September for instance, then expect to pay more than September to March, that is because owners look to make more from their rentals in the summer than in the winter. Many owners will only do long term rentals over the winter period, say October to May, the rest of the time they will offer for holiday rentals at much higher cost. Most long term rentals will be furnished in some form, from fully furnished to part furnished, the number of unfurnished properties will be be very limited.
